South Africa is rich in biodiversty thanks to the diverse habitat located in the seven biomes with in Southern Africa. The 7 biomes is home to many antelope species of various sizes that vary from the African buffalo and the Cape eland to the small dwarf antelope such as the Duiker species. In previous times many antalope and african wildlife species had no value and the natural areas was replaced by agricultural activities. Resulting in many species being saved last minute by ironically enough hunting and eco tourism. |
